About Queer Voices Glasgow

Who We Are

Glasgow's inclusive and democratic queer choir.

Queer Voices Glasgow is a community choir for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Queer Voices Glasgow was established in 2024 primarily as a space for queer people to meet, socialise and enjoy singing together. As well as making music, Queer Voices Glasgow is a space focused towards bringing people together and improving wellbeing.

What We Do

Singing, socialising, sharing.

Queer Voices Glasgow rehearsals happen weekly. Each rehearsal starts with a gentle physical and vocal warm-up led by our experienced Musical Director. We then enjoy singing together – whether preparing for an upcoming performance or just enjoying learning a new song suggested by one of our members.

There are no auditions to join Queer Voices Glasgow, and you don't need to be able to read music or have experience singing in a choir. All we ask is that you come along regularly with an open mind!

Our Practice Space

Queen's Park Govanhill Church of Scotland

Our Space is large and usually set up as displayed. The space is fully accessible by wheelchair as well as direct access to an Accessible toilet.

The other toilets in the space are gender neutral. There is also a kitchen at the back of the practice space which we use to make our refreshments for breaks.

At the back of our space we have a Quiet Room with a closable door for some quiet if the practice space becomes a bit too overstimulating. There are multiple chairs both facing into the room and out of the room.
